A couple of familiar faces will return to Joe Gibbs Racing in the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season. William Sawalich and Taylor Gray are both coming back to their respective teams.
Taylor Gray pulled off a win at Martinsville. William Sawalich showed a ton of improvement in what was a rough start to the season. They will all be joined by Brandon Jones in the No. 20 and Brent Crews in the No. 19 car this season to round out the JGR lineup
Joe Gibbs Racing won six races last season and claimed the Owner’s Championship. However, that win total was meager compared to what the organization is used to bringing in.
Having Brent Crews in the No. 19 car for 2026 is going to be major for JGR. He is a legitimate Cup Series talent, one that is almost on par with Connor Zilisch in his development at 17. He will miss a few races before he turns 18 and can officially race at the oval tracks larger than 1.25 miles in length.
Of course, there is a lot of hype around drivers like Taylor Gray and William Sawalich as well. Gray is a bit older, at 20, but he’s really taken to the O’Reilly Series car well. His rookie season was really strong but overshadowed by a couple of others like Zilisch and Carson Kvapil.
Of course, Brandon Jones is the veteran of the group. He is going to be strong at the tracks he’s had success at in the past, Darlington and Kansas, and will be more than serviceable throughout the season. He will likely be a top-10 driver in points once again.
All eyes will be on Crews in 2026. Once he takes over that car full-time at the end of March, it’s going to be a lot of fun to watch him week in and out. If you’re wondering who could fill the third Legacy Motor Club charter in 2027, you might want to pay attention to this No. 19 car this season.
