NASCAR fans have a new show to watch coming up. Ram Trucks has announced its reality series for the Truck Series. Kaulig Trucks and Ram set aside one of their trucks for 2026 for one of these lucky drivers who made it through the show.

Longtime race fans remember the “Gong Show” as it were. This appears to be similar on its face. Kaulig Trucks and Ram put 15 drivers against each other for a chance at a full-time ride in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

With five trucks for 2026, there was room to get creative. So, that’s where we get the Race for the Seat. The series is airing live on FOX on January 25 at 12 PM ET. A nice appetizer before the season gets started at Daytona.

While there is skepticism about this series and about whether or not it will be successful, as in Ram and Kaulig actually find a driver capable of competing in the Truck Series immediately.

Kaulig Trucks has a solid plan for 2026. They have three full-time trucks with drivers that are more or less ready to be competitive immediately. Justin Haley has Cup Series experience and has win at all three national series levels in NASCAR. Then there is Daniel Dye who has experience at a young age and has been close to winning in the past.

Brenden “Butterbean” Queen gives Kaulig and Ram a driver who is not only talented but a potential marketing win as well. Fresh off a dominant ARCA season and championship, Butterbean is ready to take the Truck Series by storm. On top of that, Kaulig and Ram have the “Free Agent” truck and now the reality show truck.

There is a little bit of everything to love about Kaulig Trucks and Ram. They have put together a diverse roster. You can’t expect all five teams to have great success, there are only so many races to be won, and there are a lot of talented drivers in the Truck Series for 2026. It feels like Ram and Stellantis are ready to reintroduce themselves to the NASCAR world. Hopefully, it goes well.
